  • John,

If we still lived in NY we would have come to see you. I think you should have been on the Today show with Marcia, it would have made for a better show!

  • How beautiful!!! Dang that would have been fun! Geeeze john why can’t carnival do a big shin dig with you here in port canaveral. By the way I know she is the god mother but… “Carnival Dreams” ??? Aw come on, call me partial to this new beautiful big lady but at least get her name right?

    Big Fans as allways,
    Frank and Bridie

  • Hi John!!!”
What a GREAT time we had with you today!!!! Despite the absolute frigidness, we and the kids had a great time! My little Jillian danced with the dancers and my son Kyle did EVERY single activity there. Kyle wants to know why we dont have the “big book”.
Even though the wind was whipping through Rock Center and it was freezing, it almost felt like we were on the Lido Deck at times!
It was so nice to see your newest photos of BEAUTIFUL Kye! Can’t you just eat them up?!?! Hopefully my little Jillian gave you a little bit of a “holdover” till you get home….
See you again in 26 days!!! Today really got us going for our Dream!!!

    Hi John!!

It was Great to see you and the rest of our Carnival Friends yesterday at Rockefeller Center. I had fun talking to you and all the others that showed up.

It was nice to see that the “Higher Ups” really do care what we think and were asking us our ideas.

I felt as if I were at a gathering of friends, not just a ‘Promotional Event”.

Thanks for having us, and I hope to do it again sometime!

  • I just wanted to say hello and refer back to an earlier post you had made regarding tattoo artists. Both my husband and I are artists. And not your greezy back room types either. We are a family of 5 who do charity work and live with standards not held by most “normal” looking people. And while i am used to the stereo-types and the rude comments, i never get enough of the hypocrytical comments made by women with plastic shoved into their bodies.I think that is funny. Hopefully while on our first cruise next week we wont get much of that. And if you are ever in the market for a sweet butt tattoo let me know.I am nowhere near 400 pounds. In fact i am a pin-up model. So there.

    Hi John:

We are going to go on the Carnival Dream. What is your schedule for March?

We have gone on several cruises with you in the past John and always had a great time. Maybe you remember the Butlin Gals!!!! I’m the Aussie, my friends are Brits (I won’t hold that against them)

Let us know your schedule. Maybe my hubby will come this time.

    Terri

  • Hi John!
    Great pictures.
Wish I could have been there.
    Hope all is well.
    Hi to Heidi/Kye!

  • Hi John,
I want to thank all the crew on the Carnival Holiday for making the last voyage special to us. I ended up with about 375 or so signatures on my 20″ x 30″ photo out of 614 crew members. Many were shocked that I wanted them to participate but I wanted them to be included in the final sailing.

I gave Captain Marino a 8×10 photo in a wooden frame of the Holiday that I took in Cozumel last year. It was great seeing several crewmembers that we have not seen in a year.

We had a great final toast to the ship on the last night by the aft pool. I had sent Stephanie my cabin info as you requested but I guess it did not get to you or to the ship. We still had plenty of bubbly to go around so it was okay.

It was a bit rough on Thursday night and most of Friday. My wife had to comfort a lady on her first cruise. She came out of her cabin up from us. We were in M15. Her makeup was streaming down her face. She was terrified because of the motion, the creaking and wave noise as they crashed off the bow.

Michelle got her to calm down and that everything was going to be alright. She explained to her that we have taken many cruises. That yes it was a bit rough but that everything was safe. She convinced her to go to the couches by the Guest Services Desk where there would be less movement. We checked on her a bit later and she was sacked out sleeping on one of the couches. When we got to our cabin, Michelle was in the window going ohhh ahhh as the spray flew up and past the window.

Now that we are home, it is a quick repack and we (hopefully) go to Mobile to board the Fantasy on Tuesday. Keeping our fingers crossed with the current weather situation. (maybe we can get larger waves this time)

    Dave

  • Dear Christina from above,
An artist is an artist no matter what the canvas. I studied art and the I thing that seems to always be the way is that the great ones were always misunderstood. Hard to understand genius when you are not one yourself. Have a great cruise and don’t be afraid to show off your ink since you are a pin up.

  • Hi John,
It was great to meet you on Friday at Rockefeller Center- I’m the illustrator of the Big Book, and was thrilled with how well everything came together. I posted additional pics on my site, if you’d like to take a look.
    Thanks again- jana

  • Hey John, just wanted to say “thanks” from the fellas in 42Five for letting us be a part of such an amazing event! The team at Carnival were true professionals who really knew how to have fun and we had a great time bringing the “Fun for All, All for Fun” atmosphere to the streets of NYC. Have a great event on the 12th, and check out our pics of the event at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=125575&id=46315728969

All the best and smooth sailing
    D
