Great job John. Good thing you didn’t get mugged for that bottle in New York.
Thank You Stephanie and the gang for all you did to make this possible for us to watch. Hope to see you all again on BC3.

From cruise-community.com:
“In a hilarious introduction emceed by Carnival senior cruise director John Heald, the human-sized bottle of Moët played a starring role. Heald told of being dispatched to the airport to collect the bottle, flown in from France for the ceremony, and carrying it through the streets of Manhattan.
Images on the theater’s giant screens showed Heald in various scenes — trying but failing to snag a cab, riding the subway, lugging the bottle across the Brooklyn Bridge and … getting arrested. Or so he claimed, for not having a permit to carry a big bottle and take photos.
Heald maintained that nobody, apart from the cop, batted an eye during his pilgrimage. ‘This is New York. It’s just another fat guy with a big bottle of Champagne,’ he quipped.”
John:
We did a great job surprising Big Ed for his birthday today!!!!
(and all this time, he thought it was the Christening Ceremony)

IT WAS AWESOME!
GREAT CELBRATION FOR MORE WAYS THAN ONE!
Well my dad just called me telling me about this “BIG” cruise ship he is watching in New York that just came in. My dad is a Captain on a merchant marine ship and has cruised Carnival. He was very impressed by the size of the ship. He looked up some code to find out what ship it was. It was the Carnival Dream.
He called me up to tell me about it. LOL Yea I said the Dream will be in Port Canaveral and I can’t WAIT..
Hi Stephanie and John,
Cant wait to see the Dream next week when we are docked with them =)!!!
PS: I am not engaged!
Have a great week… see you soon.

Hi John,
Please reply…
My name is Emily and I am 13 yrs. old. I love sailing Carnival cruises. My favorite so far was the Freedom, and I LOOOOOVE James ! I was called up on stage when we cruised with James to play little bear. It was alot of fun. I am cruising on Nov. 23rd. with my family and am bring along my best friend Maria. She has never cruised before. But is super excited. We are sailing on the brand new Carnival Dream !!!! This will be my 9th carnival cruise, and I cant wait to hit Platinum. My mom Tammy has been on 17 cruises with carnival (you can see I dont always get to go ;(…I have always boarded VIP status with my mom, and love how we get to get onboard ship alittle early and have nice comfy couches to wait to board on. BUUUUUUUUUT we are in an adjoining cabin to my mom, and the Carnival people are saying only “her” cabin can board VIP…IS this true John ? I mean we are in adjoining balcony connected with a inside door I sure hope you can fix something to let the four of us board Platinum status. Please fix it Mr. John if you can….
Thanks and jellybean hugs,
Emily from Philadelphia
I just saw the replay! It was awsome. Sail in 55 days! I know you will miss Monique! I am so glad I was able to see her in Malcafone in April and May.
John,
Great Job, as always!
I can’t believe how many e-mails I received from OurBigShipIsLate Of The Seas and her sister companies yesterday. Do you think they felt something was going on and felt nervous?? Could be!
The ship looks great and Congrats on the naming ceremony.
Cheers!
Derek
Hi John, Stephanie, and Jaime.
Stephanie thanks for the video of the christening. I could not get a signal where we are camping in time to watch it live. But was successful after the fact. We enjoyed the video.
Jaime, I’m glad you cleared up the “rumour” that was started by an unknown person,;-) that you are engaged. I hope it isn’t just a rumor that you are going to be on the BC3 with us. Can’t wait to see you.
John, it’s a good thing that you like myself, are a teetotaler, or that huge bottle of champagne might have been too much of a temptation to resist.
Countess Carolyn….. counting the days until 12/3
Thanks for allowing us to ‘be there’.
Thanks to all who made this possible, John, Stephanies and the “BEARDS”. :- )
To: Stephanie #343 (Please reply if you can . . . in private if you wish.
HELP!!! I had asked this question of John in the past but I don’t think that he understood what I was asking. You see, everyday John posts on one or more topics, but I don’t understand how other bloggers could reply to his comments ON THE SAME DAY???
When I read John’s blog, I make my own comments at the end of the blog and then it appears some time later on. I don’t understand how others’ comments appears on the same day. For instance, with today’s blog about the ‘Naming Ceremony’ there are aleady comments about it. Please, Stephanie, help to unconfuse me !!!!
