I stumbled upon it quite by accident while looking for the recipe to the squash/pumpkin/potato potpie. I was intrigued by what I started reading and kept going. Before I realized what was happening, I completely forgot to look for the blue, green, pink, yellow, and orange highlighted words. It seems your colorful commmentary was an ADHD sufferer's playtime! You are a HOOT! It's funny, cause you seem a bit TOO colorful for someone of my straight-laced demeanor, but you were just too fun to stop reading (even when I saw the part about the duster and your thingy... eGADS!) As I continued reading I saw your response to the question about going on the Oasis. I could NOT agree more with you! Of course I am intrigued by everything they say the ship has to offer, I mean it has indoor window rooms! How cool! But my experience (albeit limited) has taught me that a showboat isn't always a knowboat. I have been on only 6 cruises. Four of them were Carnival, one Princess, and the other was Celebrity. The Celebrity cruise was really nice. It was a heck of a deal and within a decent (10 hours) driving distance from where we live (Idaho). It was also the first cruise my hubby of 5 years (now) and Inhad taken together. We are still madly in love and so I'm sure that made the cruise even better than it actually was. Princess was AWFUL! Aside from the part where I got the Norwalk Virus ("NO-ROW!" if you are a Brit-ish doctor), was quarentined to my room for 3 days, got a shot in my thigh that missed and hit a nerve (that is STILL numb to this day... 7 years later!), had two guys come in to my room with outerspace outfits and facemasks that made them sound like Darth Vador with an accent ("We clean your room now Miss lady! [heavy breathing] You stay in bed Miss Lady" [more masked-Vador breathing]"), and by the way, I was so out of it, I think I was less than fully covered by the blankie, but even I did not care (and it probably helped them in doing their job faster, if ya know what I mean... YIKES!). Yes, aside from all that, I still would not go back, and that even includes figuring in that I could go back for free. It was BORING. Much of the staff were snobby. if you were looking for food at the wrong time, the kitchen mafia would give you the "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" yell, and ya just RAN! And did I mention boring???
Well, someone asked me which my favorite cruise line was, and I said Carnival. They said, "But isn't that like a party-cruise?" I said, "Uh YEAH! It's a CRUISE! It's TIME to PARTY!" Sheesh, and I'm not even talkin about the drinking type of partying (which I've never had a problem with rowdy-revellers on any Carnival cruise anyways). I'm talkin FUN! The staff on Carnival has always been soooooo friendly! They make me feel welcome and I've never felt pushed aside, or unimportant. The people are what makes a cruise a "knowboat". You all KNOW how to treat us. You don't act as if you are doing us a favor. You make us believe that every minute of your life on that ship is wonderful! That your fun times, are always a BLAST (and they are!), that the food is the BEST and TASTIEST (and it is!), and that entertainment is the GREATEST (is again!) Your ships are set up beautifully. Even in the ones where the atrium isn't so tall, ya can't tell! It's just so wonderful!
So I'm really just a plane Jane from nowhere, so I'm not sure how much it counts, but thank you! Thank you for knowing that checking out your competition isn't what makes you better. Knowing your business and sticking with a formula that works is what makes you better. Ya'll are doing something right. Because of that, I am so excited about planning my next Carnival cruise! And btw, what ship are you on? I think you would be awesome to chillax with!Sincerely,

How typical of his comments and sadly of the Royal Chumps that follow him......Yet another example that makes RCCL look jealous and petty...... I am certain that RCCL is as sick of their childish antics as we are. gggrrrrrrr......LOLI hope Nani's students enjoy the supplies we sent.

I went on to the Cruise Critic site today and they had a article telling all the folks on the Oasis of the Seas how to get away from the crowds of people that will belch out of that monster. The only thing they missed I thought I would add here. Don't purchase a ticket on that ship in the first place. You can afford two tickets on a Carnival ship for the price of one on the Moneygrubbers of the Seas, and have more fun too!

Did you know that the sculpture at the pier in San Juan was built by RCCL as part of a "beautification" thingy for the pier. Now the Port personnel are going to tear it down...for scrap metal. It cost RCCL 2 million dollars.
I think it was a conspiracy, so the Dream couldn't dock!
From CruiseNotes.com: "Guests aboard Port Canaveral's Carnival Dream were disappointed yesterday when the new Carnival Dream had to skip San Juan. It seems the ship was too big to dock at the available berths in the port.
The available piers, built years ago, were not meant to handle a ship of the 130,0000 ton Dream's size. Upset passengers aboard the ship told us "Wouldn't you think the cruise line would have checked this out before their first call at the port?"
The problem seems to be that a gigantic sculpture built several years ago, partially funded by rival line Royal Caribbean, prevented the ship from docking. The dove-shaped sculpture, located at the entrance to the pier actually blocks the docking of newer, larger ships.
This is bad news for San Juan, actively trying to increase their cruise business, a major source of revenue for the island. "WOW! You can't make up a story like this.
I think you handled it the only way you could. Good job, and good luck with all of the WHINERS!Lisa

John,<br
