Good Morning everyone
Hopefully by now I am home with my girls immersed in a life of diapers and nipple pads. Until I return on Tuesday I wanted you to enjoy the fabulous photos of Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan. This slide show will allow you to see the investment that Carnival Corporation and the Honduran Government has made in making this destination a must see.
So, here is the link thingy……………..enjoy the show………………and I will see you on Tuesday.

Well that does it!!! Now I have to find a Carnival Cruise going to Roatan. I do believe our “Amazing Carnival Dream” goes there. Stop doing this to us John. We are Old Aged Pensioners and you keep teasing us to try new places. We will be bankcrupt. WHAT FUN!!
Keep up the good work.
Love to Heida and Kye.
We love you dearly.
Val.
John,
We’ll be on the Dream in February … 8th cruise with Carnival, but first to the ports of Belize and Isla Roatan. Trying to plan ahead. Any suggestions for shore excursions?
Wow…i’m speechless.
Love these pictures.
One day I will be visiting.
Thanks for posting!
David
Love this pics of Mahogany Bay! We are headed there in Jan.. I think we will give this beach a shot. The other side of the island was beautiful, but can’t wait to try this one out!!
Not suprising how beautiful it is being in Barbados, there’s not many places in the world that beat it for such clean, luxurious sands.
Hi John,
WOW Mahogany Bay will be my next cruise for sure!!
Question: Cruising will all my teenage sons for Spring Bread 03/21 on Splendor. I notice when I login and try to book my excursions most of the options arent listed. For example Sailing Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallerta. Do you know if that means its not going to be offered or I have to book on the ship when i get there? THANKS! I am a huge fan btw
Jen
Hi John
Is there any chance you are going to be the cruise director on the Carnival Dream from January 30 – February 6, 2010?
We sailed on Carnival a few years ago and felt you made the criuse. It would be such an wonderful coincidence if you were on our cruise (or we were on yours) again.
Kathy
Wow — beautiful, takes my breath away.

John,
Very impressive pictures. But I am glad I was able to cruise to Roatan before all this was built. It was still very undeveloped back then. Our zip- lining in the jungle beats that tame ski lift! Hope this doesn’t turn into just another tourist trap!
Sometimes newer isn’t better!
Joyce
I can’t wait to get there. The water is beautiful and the appearance of the area is great. Mahogany Bay is the place to go and enjoy a break.

John, my wife and I are awaiting our cruise on Jan. 9 on the Carnival Dream. We cannot wait to visit Mahogany Bay. Can you tell us who our CD will be? Only 27 days left! Now if we can only get through this Christmas thingy.
DT
Hello Jhon! Welcome to Liinahamari! it’s a private harbour of Murmansk port in Russia. The harbour became a tourist center with ferry line from Norway. You will find a lot of interesting for tourism up there.
I’ll send more informations if you like it?
Kind regards. Dima.
John:
Back in May 2008, this is the area where David and DJ did the Sea Spi Carnival excursion.
It is a beautiful area!!!!
We look forward to seeing the new port when we go back next year!!!!
Linda (Mom of your friend DJ)
The pics are beautiful. I cannot wait to go there on our Dream cruise Jan 9, 2010. Very excited.
Can’t wait to see it in person in June.
Frank and Bridie
Thanks John. Can’t wait.. we’ll be on the Dream 12/26
Mahogany Bay looks beautiful. I hope to cruise there soon.
Reply or not, me no worry..
John, I hope by now you’ve let go of Kye and perhaps had the opportunity to change a stinky one and give Heidi a break!
Mahogany Bay–WOW! Good grief, Carnival is making my Sept 2010 decision harder and harder! Do I sail with you on the ship you’ll be on, or go on the Liberty back to HMC and Grand Turk, or spend more and go on the Dream to Belize/Roatan/Costa Maya/Cozumel! You are making it tough for me….
I must admit, the old pier the ships used wasn’t that bad, but Mahogany Bay looks amazing! The beach looks amazing!
Hiya John, I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you yet…even after 17 cruises.. whats the deal! LOL but I am hoping you can tell me how my best friend and I (going on the Valor 1/10/10 can get the same waiter in the MDR that we had in Oct?? LOL is this possible?? Can we request before hand, or just wait and go to MDR upon boarding and ask?
BTW, I love love reading all of your blogs! And one day I will be on the “right” ship and get to meet you
Wow… holy smoke!!!
Mahogany Bay is even more beautiful than I thought possible!!!
Gorgeous!!

Dear John, (PLEASE RESPOND),
We had a conversation some 2 1/2 months ago and you said the Stephanies has something brilliant planned for the Carnivalconnections video page and unless I missed it in another one of your postings there has been no announcements about this. There have also been no changes to the page. The last post was on Oct. 9th 2008. It featured Lawrence the production singer.
I have been following the vidoes on here and on Carnival’s main site as well as Youtube. I just think the more places you guys can post your videos, the more people will see them. Which is always a good thing.
Here’s our conversation about 10 weeks ago.
Beentravelin Asked:
Dear John (please respond)
Do you or one of the Stephanies know why there have been no posts on the Carnival Connections page since the Carnival Splendor?
John Says:
Hello Beentravelin
I checked with one of the 343 Stephanies and this is what she told me.
All of the videos we’ve been producing since the launch of the Carnival Splendor have either been posted on the blog or directly on carnival.com. But, we haven’t forgotten about the Carnival Connections video page. We are planning something very special and will be able to give the blogger’s more info next month.
So, there you go and I have no idea what the Stephanie’s are planning but judging by the amount of Tofu they have been eating…………I bet it’s going to brilliant.
Best wishes
John
Thanks again John for checking into this.

John,(PLEASE RESPOND)
All I can say about the new cruise center is……..WOW! Carnival has done a wonderful job with the completetion of this project. I thought Grand Turk and Costa Maya were impresssive until I saw this latest slide show of Roatan. Bravo! I see by the pictures that the climb to the top of the hill to catch non-Carnival Shore-ex’s isn’t very steep after all. Good news for the elderly.
Here are my questions: Since Carnival will have their own taxi dispatcher then I’m assuming you could give us some sort of price list to the attractions around the island, paticularly(sp) the West Bay beaches. Could you see what you could do about posting a price list for round-trip fares to some different areas around the island?
Secondly and more importantly, I love the new Cabanas. Will these be available for purchase before the cruise………….. or at the shorex desk…………… or after you arrive on the private island? I would love to reserve one now as I’m sure they will go quickly.
I’ll also heard mention of a Snorkeling Area. Will this be easily accessable from the shore or will customers need to take a boat?
Thank you now for any insight you can provide into these queries.
Rob Herrin
P.S. I am very happy for you now that your home with your girls. Do keep posting regularly please!!!
The site of the of the development seems exceptional. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures.
Will there be a Bill W Cruise on the DREAM in 2010?
Dear John,
Glad to think that you’re home with the girls. I thought of you and Stephanie on your drive to Miami yesterday……as I drove much of my 7 hours home in a driving rain.
Wanted to send you a BIG “Thank You” for the terrific time we had on BC3. You are AMAZING and BRILLIANT! It was such a pleasure to meet you, your sense of humour (spelt correctly) and your “staff”. You have a major “keeper” in Craig, he will be a terrific CD when you turn-him-loose in a few years. I apologized to Steph for laughing so hard, at her expense, when you teased her about most everything….you two are quite an amusing duo. It was fun to meet Peter (the hair) cause I was always thinking it was (the hare) so I thought perhaps something to do with rabbits “doing it” all the time.
Loved the DREAM, a really beautiful ship. Our next will be TRIUMPH now that she’s moved to New Orleans……..maybe we’ll see you if we can work in a FANTASY while you’re CD’ing there in part of May……will you remember me (and that flatulent key chain I sent you)?
Thanks again for ALL you do for everyone. You are one wonderful guy. I look forward to being on another ship with you one day soon.
Have a fabulous holiday with Heidi and Kye AND do take a few days off from the Thingy so you can have time to relax.
One of your MANY devoted fans,
Steve O
