I have a question that I hope you can answer. What has happened to the "fun" in the carnival fun ships? I have been sailing Carnival for 26 years now and I have noted a decline in the organized ship-board activities. There are hardly any poolside games...just trivia..trivia and more trivia. For awhile I felt like I was on another cruiseline. How can Royal and other lines be having more "fun" than us on the fun ships? There have been many complaints on this same manner but nothing has changed. I guess Carnival doesn't care. I know one thing they are definitely not the "Fun Ships" anymore.

Hi John,<br

My first cruise was on the Conquest last January. I have to say, where have I been all this time??!! I cannot believe what a wonderful experience I had and am so looking forward to my upcoming cruise. I am cruising solo, as my husband refuses to go onboard another ship after spending 21 years in the US Navy. I myself spent 15 years in, and let me tell you - I rather enjoy letting others do the work for a change! He doesn't get it. Oh well, more's the pity for him. I just wanted to let you know that Carnival is everything I hoped and expected it would be, and then some. Y'all have a new "CFF" (Carnival Fan Forever).Kathy Thurman

Would LOVE if you would also post the piano bar entertainer schedule. Laura (divetrash) does a great job on keeping a list on Cruise Critic, but relies on a lot of word of mouth. Would be great to get something official from the entertainment department! I booked our cruise last year on Carnival Splendor in great part because I knew Ron Pass would be onboard at that time. Thanks for all you do for us! Have a great Holiday!!Tracey

John,

Thanks for posting the CD schedule. Would LOVE if you would also post the piano bar entertainer schedule. Thank you for taking the time to reply on my review of my Carnival Dream cruis and for making sure the crew gets the recognition they so richly deserve. I hope the embarkation nightmares in New York doesn't discourage Carnival from bringing in the newer, bigger ships, to New York from time to time. Living in the Northeast (Connecticut), New York is such a convienient port to sail out of as it eliminates a plane trip. I enjoy plane rides about as much as you do. If Carnival decides to bring The Carnival Magic or the still to be named Carnival thingy to New York possibly they could borrow your sister companies terminal in Brooklyn. That terminal has the Queen Mary 2 as well as several big Princess ships sailing from it and possibly that would be a way to go. Just a thought that you could pass on to the beards. Thanks again for all you do and I can't wait to book my next Carnival cruise.

We have been discussing all the things that have disappeared since we were kids.
1. Soda Pop in bottles.
2. TV's with no remotes.
3. Runningboards on automobiles.
4. Home cooked meals.
5. Phonebooths
6. Helms bakery trucks
7. Milktrucks that deliver milk to your door daily.
8. AM radio stations
9. Transistor radios with the one ear plug
10. Barber shops
11. Typewriters and then word processors
12. The holders for the vehicle registration that went around the steering column.
13. The dimmer switch on the floor of the car.
14. Waxlips
15. Decoder ringsIf you remember all of the above you are now listening to music on the classic rock station that was popular when you were in high school. This will be my last posting until after the new year so everyone have a great holiday season and I hope to meet you on a cruise soon. The Cruzin2some
