I am in trouble again…….big trouble……….or to put it another way………I am in le grand mierde!

Yesterday, I hosted one of the shows along with Todd and all day long people were stopping me asking me when I was going to do another one and to “please do a comedy show….you’re so funny.” And so I walked down Promenade Deck to meet some bloggers at my favorite part of the ship, the Ocean Plaza, with my chest puffed out like Billy the Baboon trying to get some rumpy pumpy with Brenda the Baboon. And suddenly my mood was deflated quicker than one of Pamela Andersen’s breast at high altitude………..by a shouting guest…………who didn’t like my joke………….about the French.

Just before I start today’s blog and because it is my blog I feel the need to respond to something. I see that our missing the port of San Juan yesterday has caused quite a stir on the Cruise Critic boards and I wanted to reply to one of the posted thingies:

Cruisngator says “Blah, blah, blah, blah. More of the same from Mr. “Hot Air.” Why didn’t he just say that “we screwed up?”

Every day I call Heidi. She puts the speaker phone on and I sing my “Bouncy Bouncy” song to Kye. Today I did the same as I always have done and when I had finished Kye said “agga goo gag goo gagga goo”…….and I don’t know why……….but I cried…………just like I had cried when I saw Kye’s photos on the big screen during the bloggers welcome aboard party………….that’s twice this week I have tears in my eyes…………..I am not a girl…………so what’s wrong with me?

Sometimes, I do things that I know is going to get me in the doghouse……….it’s a human trait and one that sometimes I just cannot help. But why do we do this………I mean………you don’t see Flamingo’s smoking cigars or Panda Bears chowing down on a Porterhouse Steak with lashings of fries covered in ketchup. You don’t see pigeons in St. Marks Square ignoring non-organic seeds or a Hippo at Neiman Marcus buying something it knows it can’t afford. ……………yep the animal kingdom is smart……………I am not.

Let me explain…………..and I will build up to my point by sharing some of the wrong decisions I have made today. First of all I had a cigar last night even though I know I should stop smoking. Then this morning when the alarm went off at 7 am I hit the snooze button on my Raspberry even though I knew full well that I had to get up and blog this morning or I wouldn’t be finished until very late and that would mean Vance and the 343 Stephanies would be waiting to post the blog thingy and that would make them very, very mad…………Vance goes green and his clothes fall of when I do this.

This afternoon myself and the some of the bloggers will be taking a tour of Antigua and while some of the excursion will involve time on a bus we will also be doing something called “walking.”

This word was also used when I was invited by some from the Cruise Critic group to join them on a morning “walk” around the track here on their Carnival Dream….walking……..I hate that word.

This morning …………….at 9:00am……………….I hosted a Q and A session for the bloggers. I had expected that few would attend as it was ……………well…………….9:00am and judging by how busy the bars and lounges were last night I didn’t think too many would come. I was wrong…………..about 100 people showed up and we had a lot of fun. I will take you through some of the questions they asked and suggestions they raised in a moment but first………………I want to talk about one question I was asked…………………who ……………demanded blogger Dave from Canada……………..is PA 007?

I had dinner last night with the Captain and the Chief Engineer and while the Ossabuco (whatever that is) was excellent the highlight of the evening was talking to our somewhat shy Chief Engineer Stefano Gazzolo whose insight into what makes our largest ship breathe, move and live……………and as the man with pointed ears would say…………..I found that “fascinating”…………oh by the way …………that’s Mr. Spock I am referring to…………..not President Obama.
