It appears the schedules John posted for Europe were not correct because the dates were all wrong – here are the correct schedules. This information is directly from the press release.

Seven-day cruises will feature Monte Carlo, Monaco; and Livorno, Rome (Civitavecchia), Naples and Messina, Italy. Departure dates include July 3, 10 and 17, 2011.

Nine-day cruises will call at Marseilles, France – the line’s first call at this charming coastal town – followed by Monte Carlo (excluding the August 26 departure); Livorno, Rome (Civitavecchia), Naples, and Messina; and Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Voyages will operate June 3 and 24, August 5 and 26, September 16, and October 7, 2011. The special nine-day cruise departing May 1 will visit Dubrovnik, Croatia; Messina, Naples, Rome (Civitavecchia), Livorno; and Monte Carlo.

The 12-day Grand Mediterranean voyages will feature Monte Carlo or Marseilles; Livorno, Rome (Civitavecchia), and Naples; Dubrovnik (excluding the May 22 departure which will visit Palma de Mallorca); Venice (overnight call) and Messina. These voyages will depart May 10 and 22, June 12, July 24, August 14, September 4 and 25, and October 16, 2011.

All three itineraries will operate round-trip from Barcelona, a bustling, cosmopolitan city whose modern cruise terminal is considered one of the finest in Europe.”

  1. we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary by sailing on the Destiny -July 26th. Could you arrange for us to get a booth for the 5 of us on this cruise? we will be in cabin 6128 and have early seating. usually we are seated in a booth, but last year we were not originally assigned to one. thank you for your assistance.

    Hello John,
ahhh those bloody Germans again. I guess it´s time to sink the AIDA.
    Cheers from Duesseldorf,
    Frank.

      Greetings from Germany.
We did not hit the cross bar of our goal again after 44 years. It was Lampard. Again the referee and linesman screwed up. But: we are honest enough to agree only two people did not see the goal beeing scored. Maybe they forgot their guide dogs.
      Sorry
      Ralf

        Dear Ralf,
I would agree with you that this has not been the best officiated World Cup.

    John please reply…

Earlier today we mentioned that although we recently took a 1-wk. cruise to Bermuda from N.Y. on one of the competition’s ships, we are still partial to Carnival and we already have some Carnival cruises coming up. Here they are:

Reservations already made for the following dates:
Sept. 11 – Caribbean Princess, 1-wk. cruise from N.Y. destination Canada and other East Coast cities.
Sept. 18 – Carnival Glory, 1-wk. cruise from N.Y. also going to Canada and other East Coast Cities.
One ship leaves from Brooklyn; the other from Manhattan. They have similar iltineraries, but since they are new for us, we don’t mind to repeat them.

    For 2011:
We are seriously considering the Bloggers’ 1-wk. cruise on the Glory in Feb. to make sure we get to see you again. Also, we are planning to on the Magic while she’s in Europe…. and we believe we’ll be able to catch you there too!

We’ll keep you posted if there are any changes or any additions for 2010 or 2011.

Warmest regards to you and Heidi & kisses to Kye. Keep enjoying your vacation…. although Heidi may put you to do some “hard labor” at home every once in a while! Make sure you graduate from nappy/diaper change school while you are there! Make sure not to take any more taxi rides with Kye!

Bye for now and God bless the 3 of you!
