    Dear John,

I really enjoy your blog first of all, I work in the service industry and your blog makes me laugh with most of the experiences you talk about! Anyways I promise Im not here to ask you for a favor like most , begging for a better table lol…

My girlfriend of 4 years and I are on the splendor Oct 31st, and I plan on asking for her hand in marriage on the cruise! My question’s to you are, 1. Will you be working on the splendor then? Just so I could say I actually was on your boat ha , and My 2nd question is since we bought a budget room only 2269, can I still buy her a Cloud 9 spa treatment ? I figure once i ask her on the boat the first night then mabe mud bath or massage the next day at sea :)

Thanks for the fun reading John, and hope to meet u or see you on the boat! P.s. I promise not to yell your name across any room like I know you or ask you to dance either ha ha ha

    John,

I second Host Mach’s sentiment. BRILLIANT!!!

Michael and I are booked on the October 16th 2011 sailing in the Med and I can hardly contain my excitement. My Carnival Magic just keeps becoming the most fantastic ship on the seas.

I absolutely love the new website also. Now I can sit, watch and dream for hours.

Please keep the Carnival Magic updates coming and we will see you (in person) next October.

Love to you, Heidi and Kye.

Met Caroloy Locher Thomason on a cruise this past week. She spoke very highly of you and your blog. I need Carolyn to contact me.

John, love your Magic video and the new Magic website. We are so excited about our repositioning cruise with you in Oct. of 2011. Although we have sailed 13 times with Carnival, we have not been fortunate enough to have you as a CD. We are looking forward to that. The Carnival Magic is awesome!!

    Hi, John,
We would like to donate school supplies to the kids in Cozumel when we visit on the Legend at the end of September for our anniversary. We are always impressed by how wonderful the people are, but how much they need, and would like to at least help in some small way. My wife, the better half of “Cruisin Lovebirds” will be contacting Wee Jimmy, but anything you might suggest to help us set up a collection of supplies that we could donate along with a couple of crew members (no, we won’t be donating crew members, just having them help carry the supplies!) would be a great way to show our appreciation to the folks in Cozumel. Thanks for any and all support and keep up the great work. This will be Carnival cruise #11.

Carnival Magic looks awesome!! I’m hoping to book that ship as soon as it comes to the U.S. Checked out the web site just past midnight last night and I can’t wait to grab a beer or two from the pub! I look forward to hearing more as her launch draws nearer!!

I’ve tried to find Magic’s guest capacity, but have been unsuccessful. Do you have a number?
Really excited…booked on the December 18th Christmas 2011 Cruise.

    Hello John…Please Reply
I was checking out the new site for the Magic…very impressive indeed. I’m all geared up to go on another cruise with you, you just make them so special, but I’m a little disappointed with the staterooms. There don’t seem to be any interior adjoining staterooms that can accommodate more than 2 people. You see my husband and I will soon have 4 children…yes, on purpose…and we dearly love travelling with them, however I am TERRIFIED of balconies, get motion sickness and don’t want to put my kids in a completely separate room where I can’t see them…spending a week in a separate room from my husband isn’t an option either.
I’ve been trying to find some other alternatives…unfortunately I would have to go on a “something of the Seas” and I really would rather not. What I’m hoping is that you might be able to tell me…in the remodels of any of the older ships…is there, or could there be any plans to make more adjoining interior staterooms, specifically those that would accommodate more than 2 passengers each. I really do wish that those of us with larger families were able to book cabins without being forced into oceanview/balcony staterooms. Not only because they are more expensive, but because balconies and children don’t mix very well and I get so sick being on the bottom 2 decks.
All I’m saying is that options are nice…people like options…and it would be really nice if the Fun Ships…which have always been so family friendly and have some of the best Children’s programs on the water…would offer more of these options to families of 5 or more.
OK That’s my rant. Now…thanks for keeping such a great thing going with your blog. I’ve been reading since day 1. I can hardly wait to sail with you again. I just hope I don’t have to wait until my kids are all grown up!

    Hi John,

I just wanted to say, I love the new picture of you on the blog. I’m not sure when it changed, but I just realized it today. It’s so much nicer to see a smiling John, rather than a pouting one. I love your blog!!! Your humor (spelled correctly) makes me laugh. Keep doing what you are doing. You are so appreciated and loved by your many blogger fans. I hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Hugs and smiles to you and your girls.

    Carolyn B.

I was on board the Carnival Dream week of July 31 and I really enjoyed the Magic Comedy Show of Glenn Foster during that week. The show was extremely funny, kid-friendly, and I really enjoyed the humorous audience participation. I have actually spoken with Glenn about coming to my elementary school where I teach and doing some shows for some of our local schools. Great trip overall on the Dream and I will definitely book with Carnival again…this was my 4th Carnival cruise.
