oh dear – some things seen can never be unseen!!!

  4. Can’t believe I got up at 5:45am and watched the Carnival Magic pull into Galveston on the web cam. Even at that distance I was so excited and can’t wait to board tomorrow.
John..I like your moves better than Maroon 5 cause I am probably in the minority, but I never heard of them and I do know you. There fore think your moves are great…W

  5. Bill Heck says:

    Hello John:

Finished up 28 days onboard the Carnival Magic, had a great time, thank you.

Had a little fun at the terminal in Galveston. The baggage is lined up by zone in the building for you to find your pieces. However, they did not leave any aisles between the zones so you could get your bag. So imagine this, a few hundred bags arrayed in front of you, and you spy your personal coat of arms, or whatever you use to identify your bag, but oh crap, you can’t walk to it, or think about getting it out of the ranks.

We are checked in at the hotel on the seawall and can hear the Carnival Magic blowing the ship horn, makes one feel a little left out!

Have a great party John, WIWTH.

    Your Friend

      Response to Bill Heck Comment,

Bill we enjoyed meeting you and your wife at the Chefs Table last week on the Magic. Thanks for the info about the Galveston Port Luggage handling. Sounds like John and Carnival need to have a chat with those folks to tell them to leave space between the baggage sections. We are still aboard and will remember this when we depart next week.
We have been informed the thruster is NOT YET fixed and are on the way to Progresso Mexico for two days for more work. We will not go to Costa Maya but will still go to Cozumel and only have one sea day on our return Nov 20th to Galveston.

  6. Please Reply Really cool video, just got off the Carnival Fascination from the Nov 7th to the 12th and wanted to give you a review. Wehad a great time from the late disembarkment to the end. We started our cruise up on the funnel deck for the Dames bridge passing VERY EXCITING wow it is close. Our room stewardess was Adelima was totally awesome and our waiter in the Sensation dining room under the watchful eye of Joseph the super charged maitre d, we where at table 228 with my brother JR and his wife Ann my wife Leah and me Larry. Joseph our waiter not only served us amazing food but entertained us more than the entertainment staff. Not really but was really awesome. I am already looking at going on Carnival Liberty in Jan. Keep up the good work. If you could help me get a comment card I would sure fill it out. Thanks for all you do. Larry and leah

John, I feel for you and the s___ you have to put up with from all the idiots you put up with!! By the way I’m unable to post on Forum so I went over to cruise critic. I caught a bunch of s___ for standing up for a Carnival cruiser from some RCI asses! So I called one of them a pompus (sp) ass and have never gone back to Cuise Critic. So BRAVO to you for no longer posting them.
Hope to cruise with you again soon in Europe or where ever, as long as it’s on Carnival!!
    FAR SEAS AND FOLLOWING WINDS!!

  24. Congrats to Carnival on the new ship. However, John there is a big difference between Maroon 5 and … The Marooned 1! Admire all 6 of you!

  25. Pau8l Beighley says:

John, I sent you one of my cruise verses a couple of weeks ago, but I never heard anything, so I am not sure that you received it. I am going to try another one that relates to Carnival Magic in that it describes a ship that is much larger and fancier. This is a ship that we all may cruise someday.

    Celestial Ship

I dreamed I saw a golden cruising ship
With gleaming decks which reached towards the sky,
Just lifting anchor for a fabled trip
To sail above the clouds that soar on high.

And greeted there by friends from long ago
With loved ones who were gone for many years,
To hear again a long lost fond hello
And meet the cheerful throng with happy tears.

What myriad wonders that my eyes could see
With famous paintings placed on every wall,
Great artists and composers greeting me
With music from some mighty concert hall.

The cusine on that ship, beyond compare,
With renowned chefs from every age and clime.
Fine waiters without equal served the fare,
And every cruiser called the meals sublime.

What shows there were upon that cruise,
Performers from the present and the past,
With Shakespeare’s newest plays and witty views,
Great dancers, singers, actors in the cast.

Caruso did the singing at one show,
And Fred Astaire danced lightly cross the stage.
Houdini did ten card tricks in a row,
And Marilyn’s new outfit was the rage.

I saw Newton dropping apples on the deck,
And Einstein was measuring their speed,
Madam Curie did a radiation check,
And Confucius said that “Wheat was once a weed.”

At tea one day, I met Diogenes
Who told me that he’d found an honest man.
Then Chopin played piano bar to please,
And Plato served the drinks with great elan.

The ports we saw were fine beyond compare,
Alexandria, Rome and Athens in their prime,
But, then I woke just dozing in my chair.
That ship must cruise with me some future time.

My wife Peggy and I are Platinum members and we will be cruising on Carnival Magic next May 13th. I hope that we get to see you doing your thing on the cruise.
    Cheers
    Paul Beighley

  26. Wendy says:

Oh boy. I did ask you to dance to “Moves like Jagger,” on FB and you did it:) I did a Zumba dance to that song this morning and so if for any chance, (not likely) I cruise with you, (hasn’t happened in my 5 cruises yet) I will teach you the moves.
    Cheers!

  27. The Cruzin2some says:

    Dear Johnny Jaggar,
Did a squirrel run up your pants leg?
    The Cruzin2some

  28. lynn brown says:

could you do that again I thought that was so cute I just loved it.

  29. Karen says:

When you started singing, it made my dog start barking trying to figure out where the noise was coming from! Too funny! Wish I was there!

  30. Melissa says:

John your just simply amazing…and thanks for the laugh that I just had after watching this video. The whole office came over to see if I had lost my marbles for laughing so loudly. Brilliant!

  31. Rich and Patty says:

OH.MY.GOD. I’m peeing myself! Have you considered auditioning for Dancing With the Stars…you’re certainly more well-known than some of those “celebrities” that “dance” on the show!

  32. Joan says:

John, we just got off the Magic TA and want to thank you for your appearance in Freeport. Hope the thruster was successfully repaired in Galveston.
The ship is spectacular and we loved every minute of our 16 day cruise.
I know those on her now are enjoying her as much as we did.
Also, thanks for the song and dance. I don’t feel left out, now.
Perhaps one of these days we will meet you on the Magic or some other ship.
    Joan

  33. Maryb, TA says:

Thank you John, Mickey, Gerry, all BDM’s and powers that be for the wonderful opportunity to board, explore and spend the night on the MAGIC. It is absolutely all you said – and more. What a wonderful crew and what an outstanding ship. I did arrive at the pier really eary hoping to welcome some clients home after their 16 day journey but, atlas, was like finding a needle in a haystack. I am your biggest blog/FB fan starting my day, everyday, with your words of wisdom. And I am an avid Carnival sailer(almost all at retail) and seller! Been in the biz forever and always recommend Carnival 1st!
Thanks again to you and to all(or,in texican “y’all”.

  34. Pamela says:

I need some direction as how to get a reservation for the Chef’s Table during our May 13th Carnival Magic Cruise out of Galveston. We would like to dine at the Chef’s Table on a night that is not formal night in the regular dining rooms. Carnival reps by phone say I should post all my booking information in a blog for John to see, but I’m not sure if this is the way it’s to be done. Any suggestions? John?
