Hello everyone! Back in Miami where the weather is warm and the welcome sign is in Spanish.
It seems that Carnival and I have both been nominated for an award and Gerry and Micky have promised to buy me an Aston Martin if I win………ok, that’s bollocks but it would be nice to beat Bill Gates. Anyway, here is how to do it as told by a man who understands these kind of things because he has a a beard and goes to Star Trek conventions……..Eric, how do they vote?

As John mentioned, both Carnival and John Heald are finalists in the 5th Annual Mashable awards! John is up for the“Must-follow Business Personality on Social Media” award (along with Bill Gates and Kathy Ireland, among others…) and Carnival is up for the “Must-Follow Brand on Social Media” award. Thanks again to all of you who nominated us!
With that said, winners will be chosen based on the number of votes each nominee receives, and everyone is allowed to vote once a day, every day for each category. So if you have 30 seconds to spare each day between now and 12/16/11 to vote for both John and Carnival, we can all show the world just how powerful the John Heald and Carnival community really is!

Actually because I am looking to see if the 2012 CD list is FINALLY posted. You know the one that was supposed to be up a month or so ago.
If you paid attention you would have seen many an apology to the CD list not being put out as a few CD’s were being moved last minute for various reasons and the final list was still waiting for final approval. I love John’s blog to death but I am starting to think he has spoiled people way to much as if he isn’t perfect they are quick to point it out.
Actually I wasn’t blaming him but answering the question of why I was on this blog. Since you comment I would say John has put himself in a bad position by promising news that keeps being pushed back. This has been the case for the CD list BUT more importantly for the new loyalty program. There are other examples of much delayed news.
Actually I feel for John on this. Clearly he was told that informatioon would be made public on a certain date and then it wasn’t ready to be released. The “beards” made him look foolish. Sorry cheerleaders but that is the case.
I also like this blog and wouldn’t have a problem if it went back to its original goal of being an entertaining bloc about the thoughts and views of a funny ship CD. I don’t expect Heald to solve the problems of the world (especially the jerks).
Last word – Too many here treat his blog like a sermon from the mount. Don’t think John wants it to be looked at like that. At least I hope not.
i agree with you totally. John may have put/been put in position totally unaccepted. I agree that sometimes he comes out with the I know something you don’t know but will tell you soon that gets delay after delay. I want to believe and think I am right that he does that out of entertainment purposes and then he is the one left holding the stink bomb bag when it explodes.
To the sermon on the mount I think that is just and ugly sign of the times of today. People not only want crap for free but think it’s there god given right (god not capped on purpose to have anything they want for free. I have no problem with people asking my problem lies when they ask and he doesen’t deliver to their standards for what ever reason that he is the ass. There is no way that 1 person can sanely and responsibly respond to the requests of everyone and do their multifascited jobs to any success.

My favorite in the “some people are never satisfied” was the person who bitched because her parents only got 6 chocolate covered berries from John, not 12. Now I get the expression, no good deed goes unpunished.

I don’t think John actually wrote this one. I think this put on here by one of the beards. John is on vacation trying to spend a little time with his family so how about cutting him a little slack. Seriously “I am done with Carnival because this is all there is on today’s blog”. Are you F’ing kidding me. Maybe Carnival would be better off without you people as I am sure you are the ones on the cruise that think the ENTIRE STAFF IS THERE FOR YOU AND NO ONE ELSE and probably let your young children run wild through the ship. By the way take your damn baseball cap off at the damn dinner table too, this is all i get on this blog sheesh. Grow up!!!!
