    Hello John,
Thank you for finally clearing up what a blog is all about and how they are supposed to work. The visual of you in your under pants, perched in front of you computer could have been left out, if only Norman Rockwell were alive to capture the moment!

  8. Bonnie Boydstun says:

  9. John,
I know your busy and get a large volume of emails and such but as in my previous email to you once again I’m asking for your help.
For the second year I’m hosting the ,2nd Annual, Hillbilly Cruise for the benefit of the Shriners Hospitals for Children. We are once again having major issues with the Event Planners from Carnival. I even spoke with the department head and she had an attitude just like the workers. They all need some remedial training in customer service. They have a lacidaisical attitude in helping folks. This, obviously, is a fund raising cruise and one would think they would understand that and work with us, but instead they seem to want to “nickle and dime” us. Most of the issues are minor in the whole scope of the cruise and would not cost Carnival any expense. I’m really put out by their attitude. We went through the same thing with the same folks last year. It is hard to beleive that again this year we have the same issues and attitudes with the same department. Last year the other Carnival folks we worked with went out of their eway to assist us in everything, especially since it is a funds raiser for the Shriners Childrens Hospitals. I filed a complaint about that department last year and never was contacted by anyone from Carnival for a follow up.
I’m asking for your help in getting someones attention and letting that department know that they need to remember what customer service is all about. When I mentioned going above her head the department supervisor said “ok” and seemed to care less. I spent my enitre career in public servcie, a police officer, and if I had used the attitude that they do I would have been in the chiefs office only once before I would have been sent to school to work on my attitude and the next time fired.
I really want to continue to use Carnival on our now yearly fund raiser but I’m certian that other cruise lines would jump at working with us for our business. Last year we booked 71 cabins and so far this year 57. I know that is not a ship full but it does add up. Our cruise by the way is on the Paradise out of Tampa February 20-25 2012. I’m also booking other cruises as I have decided to be a travel agent on the side and would prefer to work with Carnival only.
Can you please speak with someone and help us out. I would appreciate anything you can do.
I didn’t want to bring this out in the public on facebook as to not put out any bad “press” for you all.
Please let me know if you can help
    Thanks John,
    Terry

Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family. Just watched the Christmas video of you and Kye-she is just adorable. Good luck and I hope you recover from your surgery quickly. My 88 yr old mother in law had the same surgery 8 months ago and she recovered quickly and was back working in her flower beds just a few days after the surgery.

I wanted to know what the safety features are for the kids bridge, it looks like there are lare gaps from one plank/2×4 to the next plank and it looks pretty high, worried the kids mith fall through the gaps on the walkway/bridge by the play area on the outer deck.

  31. The merriest of holiday wishes from the Williams family of Blacksburg, Va!

  32. Brenda Hawkins says:

We are wondering what the cost of the soda/drink cards are on the Carnival Splendor 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera? We would also like to know if there is a limit to the number of water bottles we can put in our suitcases when boarding the ship.

  33. Jim Heaton says:

Hi John. Hope you are feeling better and had a happy Christmas.

We were first ones on board the Magic yesterday and the staff at Red Frog said they emailed you our picture as their first guests of the cruise. Any chance you might post it to your blog as you sometimes do?

Also, a friend of mine suffers from Carpel Tunnel as I believe you do. He swears by (and occasionally at) Dragon Dictate as a voice-based alternative to typing. Of course once adopted, that would make you a dictator…

    Best Regards,
    Jim and Elaine Heaton
