I guess I am confused……..Yes to Calypso bands WITH steel drums. I remember the day where there were steel drums, guitars etc. I thought that was a Calypso band? We really miss the STEEL DRUMS!!!!!!! Duos is not enough.. So……..
I guess that means I am voting a combo of 1 and 2??
We spend lots of time out on Lido deck each day love the island music. It sets the atmosphere perfectly. This is one of the reasons why we cruise, we want the tropical experience. We can hear regular bands and DJs here on land. I cruise often with groups and had several ask about the steel drums.

Hi John, can’t tell how excited we are to know that you will be on the ship when we sail on our Carnival Dream on 2/27/10. At the time, I sure hope the Lido Deck music will be the Pan Players as then I will truly feel I am on vacation. I agree with others that the Legends lineup needs to change. You could add so many other “liked” entertainers such as Carrie Underwood, Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand, Barry White, etc. My daughter has been Aretha Franklin twice now (she’s short and white) because she didn’t like the other female suggestions.
Just a thought. Counting the days till we are together again and maybe this time we will actually meet in person. I love this blog.
